The National Register's Registration Form provides some background, dating this building to around 1890 (slighly edited):
Painted brick 1-part commercial block with corbelled parapet with cast iron storefront and transoms, similar to that on 109, except entry is flushed with storefront windows. Served as a grocery store and harness shop (1891, 1896 Sanborn maps), and a clothing and dry goods store (1901 through 1940 Sanborn maps)
