Constructed in 1883

Bloomfield School stands on its original rock foundation. Originally built one mile NW of Pilot Point. In 1976 it was displaced by Lake Ray Roberts and moved to the University of North Texas. In 1996 the building was moved to Pilot Point. Serves as a 4th grade pioneer classroom.

The Bloomfield-Jones Cemetery is a few miles from here, not far from the lake that displaced Bloomfield and some of the surrounding communities. Before the area was flooded, graves from the Jones Family cemetery and the Bloomfield Cemetery were combined to create Bloomfield-Jones, and those burials comprise the majority of what's up front in that cemetery. Behind them, along the east side of the cemetery fence, are burials from McKinney/Union Hill (near Sanger), Emberson Chapel (near Tioga), and the Mann family cemetery. In some cases, burials from those cemeteries were moved to cemeteries in Tioga, Pilot Point, and Sanger. The Pilot Point Cemetery has a dedicated "Bloomfield" section, in fact.
