Fourth Avenue Baptist Church traces its history to 1898, when the Congregation first gathered in Moreland's Hall, at the corner of Bank Street and Fifth Avenue. The present church was completed in 1904.
The corner stone for the present church building was laid August 3, 1904 by Gordon Edwards, and the dedication service was held on April 2, 1905.
