This 2016, mural by Austin artist Rory Skagen is painted on the side wall of Miller's Theater and can be viewed from the parking lot of Zipps Liquor.

In the mid 1850s, Navasota was a stage coach stop for at least 4 different lines. By September 1859, the Houston and Texas Central Railway built into the town, and Navasota became a shipping and marketing center for the surrounding area. The train in this mural is a Union Pacific, but I think you get the significance of the railroad.
