As such it has a large post office. It's in a large two story brick building, basically brick and glass and quite new in appearance. Of course, the post office doesn't occupy anywhere near the entire building. One of the tenants in the building is a local radio station,
CKBW, with transmitters in Bridgewater, Shelburne and Liverpool, the three largest towns down the east coast south of Halifax.
That we know of there are at least three Atlantic Canada Heritage Properties in Bridgewater, the
Riverview Community Centre, a former school, the 1860
Wile Carding Mill, now a museum, and the 1854-56
Holy Trinity Anglican Church, all well worth a visit.
The Trans Canada Trail, here the
Centennial Trail, a rails to trails trail, runs through Bridgewater and over the
LaHave River Bridge, a one time railroad bridge built in 1901 or 1904, depending on who one chooses to believe.
