Hidden in the forest this staircase provides a connection between the homes of Auguston and the Clayburn Creek Trail. Having 357 steps it is quickly becoming popular with locals wanting to have an outdoor exercise route that gets the heart pumping harder.
The Auguston Stairs have a total elevation climb of about 60 metres | 200 feet.
To the top of the stairs there is a limited amount of parking on Tom Thompson Court at 49°04'47"N 122°13'41"W. Then you have to walk in about 150 metres.
Getting to the bottom of the stairs is a little further. There is a small pull out on Straiton Road at 49°04'44"N 122°14'20"W. Then you have to walk along an obscure rails-to-trails route up to the bottom of the staircase.
