Homage to Marie-Rose Durocher (1811-1849)
Eulalie Durocher, éducatrice remarquable, a fondé, à Longueuil, en 1843, la congrégation des Soeurs des Saints Noms de Jésus et Marie vouée à l'éducation de la jeunesse. Ce monument commémoratif a été érigée grâce à la générosité de la paroisse cocathédrale de Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue, de l'administration générale de la Congrégation et de la province des Soeurs des Saints Noms de Jésus et Marie du Québec. Il a été beni par Mgr. Jacques Berthelet, C.S.V., Évêque du diocèse de Saint-Jean-Longueuil, le 6 octobre 2004.
Eulalie Durocher, outstanding educator, founded, in Longueuil, in 1843, the congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary dedicated to the education of youth. This commemorative monument was erected through the generosity of the parish of the cocathedral of Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue, the general administration of the congregation and the Quebec province of the sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
