Historical Significance: The trail passed through here from 1842 to 1865. The monument itself is 96 years old.

How you discovered it: I chanced upon the monument while visiting a city park.
Why?: This trail was used by people trying to improve their chances by moving to Oregon Territory. Many wagons would have passed this way.
Directions: The waypoint is found in the north-west corner of the city park in Homedale, Idaho. The city park is found on the south side of Highway 19, just across the street from the high school.
