About the Cemetery:
This cemetery is well kept, but it does not have its own sign, since it is the Antioch Baptist Churchyard Cemetery. It is listed on FindAGrave as Antioch Cemetery, and as having 345 interments at the time of this listing. Although there were some graves without dates, the oldest recorded grave was from 1904.

About the Church:
According to 100 years of the Barry County [Southern] Baptist Association (1883-1983) by Pauline Cox, this church was where the association met in 1890, so it was obviously around before that. The last mention of the church in connection with the Southern Baptist Convention is in 1944. In 1945 the association was renamed the Barry County Southern Missionary Baptist Church (until 1968). It was at that time that Antioch must have left the Southern Baptist Convention and became independent, and did not rejoin later when the name was changed back. The larger tan portion of the church was under construction when the church was submitted as a Baptist Church (and as a Country Church), and it still was not quite complete at the time of this posting.
