Porter Mountain is the 38th (out of 46) highest peak in the Adirondack Moutains at 4059 ft elevation, and total ascent of 2700 ft. Easily climbed from the Cascade/Pitchoff trail.

Level 3 (on a scale of 1-7) makes these one of the easiest of the High Peaks: only Cascade is easier. Done as a standalone climb, this is a 5.6 mile round trip, and hiked with Cascade, it is a 6.2 mile round trip.
