Located near Pintlala Baptist Church, this old marker tells the story of how the Federal Road between Milledgeville, Georgia, and St. Stephens, Alabama, passed that location. It is still called the Federal Road locally. The marker is on the corner of Federal Road and U.S. Highway 31. St. Stephens served as the territorial capitol of Alabama. This area is known as Pintlala, though mail comes through the Hope Hull post office.
