Ornamental Concrete Block House - Court Street-Chemeketa Street Historic District - Salem, Oregon - NRHP Historic Districts - Contributing Buildings on Waymarking.com

This is the only concrete block house found in the historic district and one of the few in Salem. It is believed to have been built by Clark B. Stone, a cement worker who later lived in the Charles O. Rose house, located next door. The house is built of concrete blocks that were stamped with a decorative pattern. Mr. Stone never lived in the house and sold it in 1911 to William R. Leach.
