This house, built about 1895, was originally located at 160 Waverly Street, at one time serving as the home of Willamette University president Dr. Fletcher Homan. The house was moved to it's current location around 1910 to make room for the Oregon State Supreme Court building. In 1916, the house was sold to Edward N. Weller, a partner in Weller Brothers Grocery, and the house was occupied by the Weller family until the mid-1940s. In 1944, the house sold to Alfred A Schramm (a prominent banker) and his wife Lucille. Schrmam served as superintendent of banks and was appointed state bank examiner by Governor Charles Sprague. After Schramm's death in 1951, his wife Lucille continued to live at the house, and was still there at the time of the Historic District nomination in 1986. Mrs. Schramm passed away in 1992.
