This bungalow was built in 1922 after Flora Watt sold this property to
Kenneth and
Velma Legge. The Legge's were graduates of
Willamette University - Kenneth with a degree in architecture and Velma as a teacher. It is speculated that Kenneth designed the house, which the Legge's lived in until selling the property in 1926. The family relocated to Portland and Mrs. Legge, after teaching at Salem High School, took a position as a math teacher and counselor at Washington High School. Mrs. Legge retired in 1962 and died in 1985, while Mr. Legge passed away in 1989.
