The Collins-Busick House replaced an earlier wooden home located on this lot until the early 1920's. Fay Collins, a postal clerk, and his wife Pearl are listed in city directories as living at this address since 1926, which is the time the house is believed to have been built. The Norman Farmhouse style building is one-and-one-half stories with overlapping front gables. A notable feature is the large, tapered brick chimney. In 1943, the Collins's sold the home to Harold T. and Savilla Busick. Mr, Busick was a grocer and a partner in a grocery store founded at 197 Commercial Street NE by his father J.L. Busick in 1918.
