The Jacksonville Fire Department is a mostly volunteer crew that serves the City of Jacksonville. The Jacksonville National Historic District is comprised of the entire city, and the fire department building, built in 1930, is considered an eligible contributing structure within the historic district. The brick one-story building contains garage space for three trucks and has a siren mounted on the roof.
