Access to the beach is from either of two ways. The long way is to walk from the main parking lot at Baker Beach, which at the south end of the beach. The shorter way is from a parking lot off Lincoln Boulevard (N 37° 47.778 W 122° 28.781). Here a trail head leads to the Sand Ladder Stairway, which leads directly to the north end of the beach.
