This vintage advertisement from the Phez Company proclaims
"Phezland...that wonderful valley in Oregon where Loganberries and other delicious fruits grow to perfection." -Saturday Evening Post (Jan. 24, 1920) Interested buyers are encouraged to contact the company, located in Salem, Oregon.

The Bush House Museum photograph (#bhp0228) shown below is a 1920 view of the Phez Jam Factory, located on the opposite side of the railroad tracks from the Southern Pacific Depot building, also shown (right side of the photo). The depot building still exists, and is still an active railroad station.

The photo below shows Tokyo University, from the Mill Street entrance, which would have been roughly the northeast corner of the jam factory building, the corner farthest from the railroad depot in the photo above.

The photo below shows the railroad depot and south end of the Tokyo University campus. I had hoped to take a photo from the same perspective as the historic 1920 photograph, but development over the last century has made it impossible to see either the Phez factory site or the railroad depot from ground level at the point the photo was taken, which I believe to be roughly the location now occupied by the Sparks Center on the Willamette University campus.
