Aerial Way is a three block long passage on top of Golden Gate Heights neighborhood in San Francisco. The middle, one block flat section crosses the ridge top. At each end of that is a stairway leading down from the top. This is the east stairway.

Aerial Way is a three block long passage on top of Golden Gate Heights neighborhood in San Francisco. The middle, one block flat section supports auto traffic and crosses the ridge top. At the west end of the flat section is Aerial Way Stairs (West), dropping down the west side of this ridge, and at the east end is this stairway, dropping down the east side of the ridge. The bottom of the stairway starts on Ortega Street, a road that winds around the Golden Gate Heights, including a stairway of its own. This stairway climbs from Ortega, offering beautiful views of San Francisco to the east. Part way up the stairs there is a slight offset to an otherwise straight stairway. There is a metal handrail on each side of the stairs. The stairs climb to Pacheco Street at the top.

Posted coordinates are at the bottom of the stairway. The coordinates of the stairway top are N37 45.180 W122 28.142. The elevation gain is about 40 feet.
