Aerial Way is a three block long passage on top of Golden Gate Heights neighborhood in San Francisco. The middle, one block flat section crosses the ridge top. At each end of that is a stairway leading down from the top. This is the west stairway.

About three houses south of the top of the Ortega Stairway is another stairway that climbs along the west side of the ridge to the top of Golden Gate Heights neighborhood. This stairway is named Aerial Way. There is a metal hand railing on both sides. This straight concrete stairway, one of San Francisco's longest, climbs 193 steps up to Funston Avenue. At the top it connects with a one block long auto road that leads to Aerial Way Stairs (East), a stairway that goes down the east side of this ridge.

Posted coordinates are at the bottom of the stairway. The coordinates of the stairway top are N37 45.168 W122 28.201. The elevation gain is about 80 feet.
