A magnificent grade 2 listed drinking fountain is located in Chapel Hill, Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex.

The drinking fountain stands at a major road junction in Stansted Mountfichet. The structure dates to circa 1871 and stands on a stepped platform. The whole structure is made of cast iron and is highly ornamented. The canopy is supported on four iron columns and is highly pierced and topped with a finial.

Late 19th century cast iron drinking fountain under a cast iron domed ornamented canopy with semi-circular arches on cast iron columns. The fountain is raised on a stepped platform with 3 steps. Circa 1871.
