Zippy often visits several places in one strip. In the "Waiting On The Asphalt" strip, Zippy is feeling time pressure to decide what kind of tattoo he want to get and where on his body. Zippy visits three buildings, all with large clocks out front, ending with the tattoo parlor. In pane 1, Zippy visits Encino Park Liquor, in pane 2, the Cafe 50's restarant, and in pane 3, the Ink Ink Tattoo Parlor. Zippy can't decide whther to get a tattoo of a "baby smurf" on his left ankle or a Yosemite Sam saying "Back off" above his gluteal cleft. (Thus, the subtle title of the strip!)
