The Charles Kimmel Hotel/Saloon at 214 Schiller Street was constructed circa 1879. This 2 ½ story brick commercial building has a side gable roof with slightly projecting eaves. The first floor of this corner building has a canted corner entrance. The building has had several additions to its rear, these were added in the late 19th and early 20th century. The building is in good condition and now serves as a dental office.
