Historical marker located on Hollywood Boulevard in Homewood, AL. The cemetery is listed in the Alabama Historic Cemetery Register. The marker erected in 2008 by the Family and Friends of Union Hill Cemetery. This is the second of two historical markers at this cemetery (see WMCKA3).

Union Hill Cemetery is the burial ground of many pioneers and early settlers of the Shades Valley area. It was established in the 1870s, but includes gravestones dating back to the early 1850s due to the relocation of two earlier, smaller cemeteries to Union Hill – the Daniel Watkins Cemetery in 1946 and the Enoch Anderson Cemetery in 2004. Union Hill is also the final resting place of many veterans who served in the Civil war, Spanish – American War, WW I, WW II, and the Korean War.
