The Arlington Building, located at 111 W. 6th Street is a two-story red brick building constructed in the Romanesque Revival style. It was built in 1905, two years before Statehood.
The building has a 50 ft. wide facade, with a stepped parapet. In the centered pediment is a stone block reading "ARLINGTON BLK". Each side of this name block is a short brick column topped with a stone finial. The second level has eight single wood-framed double hung windows, each topped with a brick arch. There is a continuous rusticated stone sill, with individual stone lintels.
The ground level has a central entrance flanked by large display windows. A striped cloth awning runs the full width of the building above this entrance.
The building is occupied by Sharpe's Department Store. The property is Item 59 on the District nomination.
