Though not a beauty at this time, the Jackson Building is part of Okmulgee's downtown restoration project and it has integrity and potential to be restored to its once fine condition.

The Jackson Building is a two-story brick building, constructed in 1908 in the Early Commercial style. A parapet which extends above the roof line shows "1908 D.JACKSON". The facade is divided into two unequal bays. On the west, a smaller bay contains the entry to the upper level, which is a single wooden door, with a fan-shaped fixed transom. The second level in this bay contains a single one-over-one double-hung window. The brick columns and stone bases have been painted green.

The east side has a storefront with the single entry on the right and four display windows to the left. The door and windows have been renovated and are now aluminum-framed with glass. The clerestories are covered and painted green. The upper level has three single double-hung sashed windows.

Two rows of brick corbeling decorate the upper portion of the building. The second level is vacant, however, the ground floor is occupied by Poppe's Collectibles, a used furniture store.

This building is Item 30 on the district nomination.
