Vincent Lugo Park is probably best known for it's "Monster Park" children's playground. The playground features sea serpents, dragons, snails and whales, all with slides built inside of them.

San Gabriel Municipal Park was dedicated in 1963. In 1988 the park was rededicated as Vincent Lugo Park in honor of Vincent Lugo, a Park Supervisor and Parks and Recreation Commissioner.

The park contains the Dinosaur Playground, a small tot playground, and a lighted youth baseball diamond.

As of January, 2010, the park is undergoing some construction and improvements, to be completed by Spring, 2010.
