Along with the nine builidngs that contribute to the Bell Street Historic District, the tenth item is the brick paving along the 100 block of Bell Street.

This block extends from Main Street on the south, to 9th Street on the north. The brick was laid by Shawnee Traction Company in 1904. The bricks were made in Kansas and shipped by railroad to Shawnee. Each brick is 3" x 2" x 11".

The brick paving is in excellent condition, and did not appear to even have the usual waviness that might be expected after 100 years of use.
