Bolinas Ridge is the high pastural land to the east of Olema Valley in Sonoma County, California. The ridge parallels the Olema Valley to the west and the San Andreas fault line. The Bolinas Ridge is part of the
Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
The Bolinas Ridge Trail, especially popular with mountain bikers, begins on the ridgeline east of Olema Valley, with parking off Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.
The trail crosses rolling coastal rangeland, enters towering redwoods, and breaks into open chaparral before it reaches its southern trailhead at Alpine Road on Mount Tamalpais—offering views of Bolinas Lagoon, Tomales Bay, and the Pacific Ocean along the way.
