"After arriving from Italy in 1888, Stefano Mori purchased 19 acres of farmland on a cape protruding into the Pacific. Mori raised Brussels sprouts and artichokes, and also built a rambling 21-room guesthouse with a bar, dancehall, restaurant, and an Italian deli. The Mori Point Inn, which had a notorious reputation during Prohibition days, was operated by the Mori family until the 1940s. After its decline as a farm, a guesthouse, and a gravel-and sand-mining site, Mori Point's future remained in limbo for decades. In 2000, with the help of the Pacifica Land Trust, the Coastal Conservancy, and concerned community members, Mori Point was purchased by the Trust for Public Land and added to the Golden Gate National Parks."

Mori Point is a 105 acre promontory between Sharp Park and Rockaway Beach in Pacific, California. Mori Point is another story of community involvement and determination. Various development proposals were successfully opposed by Pacifica residents and environmental organizations. Today it is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and home to red-legged frogs and San Francisco garter snakes. Both of these species are protected under the Endangered Species Act. The park has had extensive renovation done by local neighborhoods. The flags-to-Flowers program is a neigborhood participation program. Small plastic flags cover much of the renovated grounds, indicating where flowers have been planted.

Parking is available on Mori Point Road or Bradford Way. I also found parking on Fairway Drive, adjacent to Sharp Park, with a closer neighborhood entrance to the park just past Seaside Drive. (These are the specified coordinates). If one parks on Bradford Way, there is a half mile access path, behind neighborhood fences.
