The last house on the block is an interesting and very green home with all sorts of architectural nooks and crannies. It is a mix of varying styles and additions and a neat looking porch to boot.

There are so many additions and architectural features, that describing this house is difficult. Some things to notice are the huge columns supporting the porch, multiple facing gables and smaller porches. Here and three are some Victorian cutouts. Three different sides could easily be mistaken for the front door. The upper floor on right side features a bay which extends out from the house with windows reminiscent of a ski lodge. Above it is yet another narrow gable. The original iron fence still surrounds the yard.

For a more detailed and informed physical description of this site, I have added information from the original nomination form sent to me by John P. Byrne, National Register Database Manager (John_Byrne@nps.gov), Department of the Interior. This narrative was created March 16, 1979, mailed in to Washington, D.C. and evaluated April 18, 1980 and finally approved on July 21, 1982. Thanks to this designation and the efforts of the community to stop developers in the early 70s, Haddonfield is permanently protected and is one of the best example of an intact Colonial America, this site not withstanding.

2½ story mid-Victorian dwelling. Original porch evidently changed to classic style. Slate roof, gable end. Enclosed by original iron fence in concentric circle design. --- National Register of Historic Places Inventory -- Haddonfield Historic District Nomination Form
