The Applegate trail Runs from Fort Rock in Idaho thru Nevada and California to the Willamette valley in Oregon. The Applegate family after losing family and friends on the Oregon trail wanted to find an easier way to the Willamette valley. The Applegate brothers and friends blazed this trail and later led wagon trains of early settlers to the valley. Tales of heros and bandits are written about this trail.
