This is one of many granite posts used to mark the "corner" points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Town of Danvers and the City of Beverly. The letters "D" (for Danvers) and "B" (for Beverly) are inscribed on opposite sides. It is approximately eight inches square and two feet high.

The marker is on the north side of Elliot Street (Route 62), near the intersection with Bridge Street.

The nearest adjacent survey markers are Beverly-Danvers 1 (B-D1), about 1.1 miles north, and Beverly-Danvers 3 WM (B-D3 WM), about 0.6 mile south.
