This benchmark without a beacon is only about 25 metres from one of my caches so I couldn't resist trying to find it when checking the cache.
There is a cairn erected nearby to commemorate Major Mitchell's 1836 visit to survey the surrounding coastline.

Great coastal views including windmills and Cape Nelson Lighthouse.
The marker was under about 4 inches of sand when found.
Access is via a short walking track to the lookout, with the last 10 metres through the scrub.
