In the early years, the Almaden Art & Wine Festival was held at Parma Park. As the festival grew in size, it needed a larger location with more parking. So the Almaden Art & Wine Festival was moved to Almaden Lake Park.

The festival offers a commemorative wine or beer glass to travel among the winery and brewery booths. Many artisans display their creations for sale. Local high schools sell food to support their athletic teams. There are several bands playing in a pavilion along with other entertainment such as magicians. Play areas are present for children.
