For the past week, as we made our way to drop off Harvey Jr. at his school, we've been passing a large crew working on replacing the ties on the CN line that goes through town.

So Harvey Jr. and I went downtown this weekend and found a whole bunch of tampers, tie cranes, various work carts, and some speeders too!

We found them all parked on a sideline northwest of the maintenance building at the junction of the CN and the CSX lines.

You may not find these particular machines if you do pay a visit, but there is plenty of rail activity here with two lines coming into town.
