Holly owes its existence to the rail industry as it has been the junction of two rail lines for around 150 years or so. You can watch the trains make there way through town at the Union Depot, but until it's finished being renovated, there's no place but the ground to sit.
OR, you can take a seat at this location downtown and watch the Canadian national come through town.
The Canadian National (CN) runs NW/SE right through downtown Holly. Originally this line was the old Detroit & Milwaukee, which came under control of the Grand Trunk Railroad in 1878. A 1928 merger officially made the route part of the Grand Trunk. In the 1990's, the Grand Trunk was merged into Canadian National.
