Coyote Creek DGC was the first disc golf course in San Jose, having been installed in 1998.

The Coyote Creek DGC is located in a section of Hellyer Park in south San Jose at the Hellyer Avenue exit and adjacent to HiWay 101, on the east side of the freeway. There is free, limited curbside parking and the course is open for play during daylight hours. The original negotiations and efforts to place this course here were done by disc golf Hall of Famer, Tom Schot. Today the course is managed by the Silicon Valley Disc Golf Club. There is a monthly club tournament on the 2nd Saturday of each month and a random doubles event on a weekday afternoon, through the summer.
