Veteran's Memorial Bridge was dedicated to the Memory of 57 men from Dale county who died in WWI.
The Bridge is believed to be the first reinforced Concrete Bridge in Alabama.
The reverse of the sign (river side) tells about a Grist Mill located nearby.

Just south of the Marker is a concrete Bridge showing signs of age. No vehicular access to the memorial bridge is possible
