Coordinates updated for new store location (10-29-12). This new location for the downtown Palo Alto Apple Store features a glass ceiling as its roof, allowing full view of the sky above. Thanks to DougK for updated info!

This new Apple store opened on October 27, 2012. It replaces the old Apple Store, just a few blocks away. This store would be the closest store to where Steve Jobs family lives. Steve was often seen wandering around at the old store. Surely, Steve would have loved this store too.
Facts about the store:
- "360 design" Genius Bar, the largest in California, stretches out 25 feet and allows customers and staff to sit side-by-side around the communal table.
- Briefing Room in the back of the store is the first of its kind in the San Francisco bay area and allows business customers to work closely with employees.
- Great Hall, which has a 25 foot arched ceiling with a glass facade, is the first of its kind in California. Only stores on the Upper West Side of New York and one in Texas share this design.
- 150 employees staff the new store.
