This is the third site as part of the Southern Ohio Amateur Position Reporting System (SOAPRS) (Site 1 is the KD8FJH iGate, Site 2 is the KD8FJH-1 Londonderry Digi (visit link) ). This site provides coverage of Vinton County, filling in a gap between Chillicothe and Athens.

Current radio equipment is:
Yaesu FT-212 Transceiver
TNC-X with uSmartDigi board. www.tnc-x.com www.usmartdigi.com
Custom DC power supply with battery backup.

The uSmartDigi board is currently programmed with a filter to drop any packets farther than 30 miles from it's position. All packets within a 30 mile radius are passed. All telemetry, weather, skywarn, and mail packets are passed by default. This will help prevent unnecessary repeating of packets, and wasted bandwidth.

Due to restrictions, this digi has an output of 5 watts.
