Installed in a slope of the Cavée, this strange construction in bricks is covered with a cap in sandstone pavers from where exceed three rails of railways. It is accessed by a low entrance that leads through narrow staircases to small rooms including a pierced narrow openings and a hole in its ceiling in the manner of a skylight.
These are the remains of a larger fortified structure built around 1915 by German troops in the village. This command post "was provided with three means of observation of enemy lines: the direct view through the apertures of the summit, the indirect view by periscope and, during the good season, by a soldier perched in an observatory tree laid out for this purpose. effect.
Maintained intact during the German retreat of 1917, this shelter was used by the command of the 123rd French RI during the Battle of Mont-Renaurd.
During the inter-war period, some of the materials were used for the reconstruction of village houses.
