Das aus Sandstein geschaffene Ehrenmal "Stahlhelm auf Lorbeerkranz" steht direkt am Eingang zur evangelisch-lutherischen Kirche St. Gertrud in Hamburg-Altenwerder, dem Rest des ehemaligen Fischerdorfes, das heute fast vollständig durch das Containerterminal Altenwerder (CTA) ersetzt ist. Im Relief sind Eiserne Kreuze und Eichenlaub abgebildet. Aus der Inschrift: "1914-1918. Neige in Erfurcht Dein Haupt vor dem Tode und der Tapferkeit. Die dankbare Gemeinde Altenwerder."
