The mark is an American Rock Salt, Inc. disk and is located approximately 0.4 mi. N of the entrance of the American Rock Salt mine located on Route 63, S of Geneseo, NY. (It is approximately 1.8 miles N off Exit 7 from I-390.) The disk is located on the W side of the road, and is directly adjacent to a tan fiberglass witness post in the grass just off the shoulder. The disk is inscribed "American Rock Salt Co. LLP, CP 1".
