It was in that year that the town was given a brand new brick post office. Near the southern end of the town, the post office is surrounded by ample parking and an eclectic assortment of businesses.

I could be wrong, but it looks like the town didn't get new mailboxes, however. They appear to be older style boxes, much more ornate than contemporary boxes - the type usually found in post offices from the 1930s and earlier. There are about 2,000 in the post office, which serves a population of around 1,000 in the town. Either a lot of the boxes are unused or there is a pretty large rural population in the vicinity.
