The views along the way are spectacular. The trail crosses rocky points and small sandy beaches. Water fowl are abundant along the shores, various species of birds can be seen inland and foxes, hares and smaller animals are also seen.
If you are lucky, you can see the seals on the rocks.
The work was done by the "Experimentation and developement of the Boreal Forest". The director general, Michael Cosgrove, says that the trail is a window to the St Lawerence River and the gulf of the Manicouagan River.
The work done on the "Sentier Embruns" has cost $200 000 and was paid by a fund provided by the Alcoa Foundation and the MRC of the Manicouagan.
There are also 34 geocaches hidden along the trail from one end to the other.
A reminder to walkers : As you make your way along the trail, use only the trails which have red and white markers to guide you along the way. As seen on the map, there is only one trail marked in this fashion.
Also, If you ever lose your way, back up to the last place that you see the red and white sign. Look forward and you will see the next one from there. This way you will be sure to be on the "Sentier des Embruns".
As noted the eastern start of the trail is at the gate in the road at N49 12.085 W68 10.757
The western end of the trail is at N49 11.721 W68 14.754 near the aluminum bridge.
At N49 11.258 W68 13.266 we have a very vice view of Ile du Colon which many hikers like to photograph.
The trail can be used in winter and in summer.
Des trottoirs en bois, des gardes, des escaliers en bois et des panneaux d'interprétation ont été installés le long des 8,3 km du sentier.
Les vues sont spectaculaires. Le sentier traverse des points rocheux et de petites plages de sable. Les oiseaux de mer sont abondants le long des rives, on peut observer diverses espèces d’oiseaux à l’intérieur des terres et des renards, des lièvres et des animaux plus petits.
Si vous avez de la chance, vous pourrez voir les phoques sur les rochers.
Le travail a été effectué par "expérimentation et mise en valeur de la forêt boréale". Le directeur général, Michael Cosgrove, a déclaré que le sentier était une fenêtre sur le fleuve Saint-Laurent et l'estuaire de la rivière Manicouagan.

Rappel aux marcheurs: tout au long du sentier, utilisez uniquement les sentiers marqués par des balises rouges et blanches. Comme on le voit sur la carte, un seul sentier est marqué de cette manière.
Aussi, si jamais vous perdez votre chemin, revenez au dernier endroit où vous voyez le signe rouge et blanc. Regardez en avant et vous verrez le prochain à partir de là. De cette façon, vous serez sûr d’être sur le "sentier des embruns".

L'extrémité ouest du sentier se trouve à N49 11,721 W68 14,754 près du pont en aluminium.
Au coords N49 11.258 W68 13.266, nous avons une très belle vue de l’île du Colón que beaucoup de randonneurs aiment photographier.
Le sentier peut être utilisé en hiver et en été.
