From the NPS Website: Paramount Ranch offers several miles of easy to moderate scenic hikes through chaparral, riparian, and valley oak savannah plant communities. Equestrians and mountain bikers may access these multi-use trails. Wildlife sightings might include red-tailed hawks, acorn woodpeckers, blue heron and deer.

Stroll through Western Town and enjoy a shaded picnic area. This real-life motion picture set is altered slightly with each production, yet retains a Western motif.

Sadly, due to the Woosley Fire, (visit link) most of Western Town has burned down. Only the church and what looks like a train or stage coach covered platform with a ticket/telegraph office on one end remains standing. All other buildings have burned down and are closed off with temporary fencing.

I hiked a short 1/2 mile loop up the Coyote Canyon Trail, connecting to the Hacienda trail. It was surreal. Almost everything is black and charred. Only small fan palms survived.
