Lorenzo Dow Hoover is buried in historic New Hope Cemetery, west of Briar in rural Parker County, TX, and the combination of the birth and death dates on his headstone yields an impossible age.

Mr. Hoover's final resting place is marked by a white marble headstone, with the family name, "Hoover", on the plinth. At the top is an open book -- the Book of Life or a Bible -- and ivy complements the Gates of Heaven below. The inscription is:

L.D. Hoover

Born
Mar. 3, 1845
Died
Feb. 13, 1813

-----

The dead in Christ are surely blest
For they partake his heavenly rest

----------

Obviously, he passed away in 1913, so noted on his Findagrave page.
