Way Park was constructed by the WPA in 1935-36. This is a two-block area with a creek running through it. At the north edge of the park, accessed on North Morrow Avenue, is a large gazebo nestled at the bottom of a hill.

We estimate the gazebo may be 24 feet wide. The low walls surrounding the gazebo are constructed of rock, and serve as seating. The eight-sided roof is wood covered in composition shingles and is supported by metal poles. We didn't approach the gazebo for closer photos so as not to disturb the folks sitting there, but the gazebo is an inviting structure that beckons you to visit and sit awhile.
