Two plaques on the base identify Old Dollar as the work of Gary Ward, owned by the bank where she stands, sponsored by the American Quarter Horse Association and a project of Center City. There is no indication as to when she was created, and while the Center City website refers to some of the horses found outside of Amarillo, this one is not among them. Old Dollar is reddish-brown, with white socks on three of her forelegs, a white patch down her nose, and a black tail. On one side is a sky blue patch featuring a windmill with "SNB" on its vane. The other side is hard to photograph, but it depicts a canyon setting here in the Panhandle, with the windmill from the other side, in full, along with a cistern.
